The thought of us breaking never crossed my mind. Not when Cal, my husband, has always been my rock—steadym strong, and endlessly devoted. A brilliant chef with a heart that once beat in rhythm with mine. The one who could predict my needs before I could say a word. We built a life together: a marriage, two kids, opening a business, and a thousand shared dreams.

Somewhere along the way, our foundation found cracks, and everything is threatening to crumble down. While he chased his passion in the kitchen, I gave everything to our home and children—until I couldn’t recognize myself anymore.So I told him I was done.

Cal, won’t take that for an answer. No matter how broken we are, we can repair, or so he says. I see no way out so we seek help. Talking, therapy, overcoming the hurdles that life’s thrown at us is hard, but we’re trying.

But will he open himself up to me? Will I find who I am again? Will the strength of our love be enough to save us—our marriage—and our family?
